PZ MUD PUM


Pall parts at power end except lubrication oil pump and all parts of fluid end are complete exchangeable with OEM pumps from the United States.  

1.The Power End (frame, pinion shaft, crankshaft, crosshead, extension rod)
1.1Features for the power end
The pump frame construction is gang welding on casting and steel–plate.
Convenient assembly and disassembly for whole crankshaft assembly.
The bull gear and pinion shaft are composed of helical gears in pairs respectively. Small size. Teeth face is hard face, with long service life.
The crosshead is of welded whole body ductile cast iron construction, heat treated, wear-resistant, and high strength.   
The crosshead pin and crosshead are taper connected, fine contact, and simple assembly.
The crosshead contact with guide directly.
The guide is made of exchangeable copper, which efficiently extends its service life.
All the bearings, crossheads and guides are double lubricated with splash and force.
The transmission shaft is equipped with single–row radial short–roller bearings.
The main bearings are double – row radial spherical – roller bearings. (taper ratio: 1:12)The crosshead is equipped with long – roller bearings.
The big end of the connecting rod runs in radial roller bearing.
The intermediate rod stuffing features dual sealing structure, with good sealing effect.
The side plates aside the frame are of plastic transparent plate, running and lubrating status inside the power end can be watched directly.
The monoblock forging of hollow sphere for the pulsation damperer.
1.2 The frame
The pump frame is gang welding on casting and steel–plate construction. The bearing housings of the crankshaft, the transmission shaft and guides seats are made of steel castings and are welded to the frame after rough–machined. They are stress–relieved through heat treated aging after welded.

1.3 The Crankshaft
The crankshaft is alloy steel casting. Installed with the crankshaft includes bull gear, connection rod, bearing, etc. Bull gear is composed of herringbone tooth with hard face. Big ends of connection rod are mounted on the three eccentric flex points of crankshaft through single–row radial short–roller bearings. Small end is mounted on the crosshead pin through dual-row long-roller bearing. Two ends of crankshaft both are dual-row radial spherical – roller bearings.

1.4Pinion shaft
The pinion shaft is of alloy forging, with herringbone gear. For convenient maintenance  the single-row radial long-roller bearing with inner ring no retainer is choosed. Either end of the shaft can be installed with sprocket or sheave.
1.5Crosshead and intermediate rod
The crosshead is of ASTM A48-83 iron casting, with strong wearablity and long service life. Upper and lower guide structure allows to adjust concentricity by add shims under lower guide. The guide is of eccentric-type bronze. The crossehead and intermediate rod are of pin-hole matched flange bolt connection, which can ensure concentricity between crosshead and intermediate rod. Intermediate rod and piston rod are clamp connected. 

2.Fluid end (cylinder, valve assembly , liner, piston and so on )
2.1. cylinder
The cylinder is made of VD refined forged steel. and the three valves on each pump are exchangeable. The direct cylinder (the valve on the valve )design may reduce the volume and may improve the efficiency of it . As the customer required, we may nickel plating the surface, which may prevent the cylinder from errosion.
The gland and the flange are connected by the ACME screw, which may be screw out quickly. The flange fixed on the cylinder with the stud may make it convenient for the operating and maintancing.
2.2 Valve assembly.
the taper of the valve seat is 1:6. The bottom of the seat is provided with a shoulder to
be suitable for high pressure.The valve seat and the upper step of the valve seat
conforms to APISpec 7K. The discharge valve and the suction valve are exchangeable.
2.3 Liner
There are six sizes of liners in I.D. All these liners are the same in O.D.
There are two types of liners: high-grade liner and plain liner. The high – grade liner is made of carbon steel as a base metal, which is casted or inserted with high – chrome alloy – steel to ensure wearability, and the hardness has reached the HRC60-65.The plain liner is made of low – carbon steel which is carburized and quenched inside to enhance the surface hardness.
The liner can be inseted from the liner room in front of the cylinder. After the liner has been fixed, the liner and the liner room should be fixed in three holes in the front plate of the rack, and should be connected with the cylinder with bolts.
2.4 piston and piston rod
The piston rod conforms to the spec API-7K. The piston is fixed with the  1-1/2"locking nuts. Without wearness of the piston and with the piston through the separated water tank ,the piston sprey pump may sprey water or errosion-proof water to lubricate and to cool .
The piston is sealed by the column surface and the rubber seals. After compressing  with the loosing-proof locking nuts, the nut may prevent loosing of the piston and seal the surface.


2.5Discharge manifold, suctin manifold and five-way joint
In front of the pump there is a suction port, to connect suction manifold. Suction flange is
of 10” ASAB16.5-150PSI steel.
Discharge manufold at the fluid end and five-way joint flange both are 4” 5000PSI.
We have improved part of the five-way joint flangle according to the requirements from
the Unite States.
Discharge site of the pump involves discharge pulsatin dampener, relief valve and discharge screen. Suction port is 12” flange. Three cylinders at the fluid end are of through-way stepwise structure, realise suction and discharge. The fluid end is composed of three fluid modules (cylinders), each of which is a sectional and communicating construction. The suction and discharge are accomplished by suction and discharge pipes. The suction and discharge valves are vertically aligned with each other to minimize the volumetric clearance.

Discharge manifold is of anti-fatigue alloy casting steel.

2.6 Discharge pulsation damper
The discharge pulsation dampener is spherical and pre–pressured. Its Max. working pressure is 5000PSI, and volume is 75 litres (20 gallons). The pulsation dampener is connected to the air filler and to the pressure gauge, using 3/4” – 14NPT and 1/4” – 18NPT respectively.
Cylinder, linder, piston, valve body and valve seat, valve spring, seal rings, valve cover and box cover at the fluid end are exchangeable.

3.Spray system
Spray system includes spray pump, cooling water box, and spray hose. It function involves cooling and washing cylinder liner and piston, which will extend liner and pistonn’s service life.
Spray system is a kind of eccentric pump, imported from the United States. The spray pump can be V-belt driven or electric driven. Use water as cooling lubricant.
Spray hose is installed in the clamp connecting intermediate rod and piston rod, and can reciprocating run along with piston. Spray nozzle is very close to piston face and can make cooling lubricant wash contact face of piston and liner. Fixed spray hose also can be used. Spray hose is durable. 


4.Lubrication system
Power end adopts force lubrication and splash lubrication. Gear oil pump in the reservoir transfers pressure oil to crosshead, intermediate rod, guide and each bearing through lubrating lines. The working status of gear oil pump can be checked throught the vacuum gauge aside the frame.
